What prompted the founding of Mikayola International Inc?

We applied and won the Small Business Innovations Research (SBIR) grant from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to come up with our proposed efficient ways of detecting Gamma rays in the Thyroid that avoids detection of this Ray in the familiar practice of passing suspected contaminated individual through the Whole Body Counter (WBC)

What was the outcome of this effort?

We completed this research and was given an award as an acknowledgemnet of accomplishment for this effort by the New York City Partnership Foundation and The New York State Science and Technology Foundation. This was a very big award for us!
